At around 11 am on Tuesday, Chiang Yu Fen, a 52-year-old Taiwanese tourist, was visiting APEC Park in Danang when she left her backpack in the flower garden area and went to take some photos. Upon returning, she discovered that her black wallet had been stolen. It contained three bank cards, an insurance card, a passport, TWD 5,300 (USD160.22), VND200,000 (USD7.68), and several personal documents.
Following the incident, Fen reported the theft to Phuoc Ninh Ward police in Hai Chau District. After around five hours of investigation, the police identified the suspect as Huynh Ngoc Dung, 53, a resident of Hoang Dieu Street, and brought him in for questioning.

At the police station, Dung confessed to the theft. He has a prior criminal history, including multiple convictions related to property crimes. The local police has recovered the stolen items and are handling the case in line with laws.
