There will be four trips for the route per week. The boats depart Danang on every Tuesday and Sunday, while it departs from Danang every Wednesday and Sunday in Ly Son.
Each trip will last two hours.
The ships are designed with two floors, including three different areas for the different levels of tickets.
Tran Phuoc Son, Vice-chairman of Danang City People’s Committee, said that this is a new service expected to boost the tourism development of Ly Son and Danang after the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently, tourists from Da Nang have to make a 150-kilometre journey on land to Ly Son which is some 30 kilometres off the Quang Ngai coast.
Son has also asked the Danang Department of Transport and concerned agencies to co-operate with Danang authorities to frequently check the route’s operations to ensure safety.
