The Dong Nai City People's Committee has asked the municipal People's Council to approve the four bridge projects, which will span the Ong Tiep Canal and connect Bien Hoa Ward in Dong Nai City with Tan Uyen Ward in Ho Chi Minh City.
All four projects will be funded by the Dong Nai City budget, with the city government acting as the project owner. Construction is expected to begin in 2026.

The proposal follows an agreement reached by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on June 10, authorising Dong Nai authorities to oversee several transport infrastructure projects linking Tan Khanh Ward and Tan Dong Hiep Ward in Ho Chi Minh City with Bien Hoa Ward in Dong Nai City.
Dong Nai authorities said the projects form part of a broader regional transport strategy to improve connectivity, expand freight capacity and facilitate the movement of people and goods across southeastern Vietnam.
Officials said stronger transport links with Ho Chi Minh City are expected to boost economic development in Dong Nai City and the wider southeastern region.
