Fu Xiao Hua, a Chinese national employed at Hoang Kim Thanh Company in the Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, reported the loss after accidentally leaving the backpack at a restaurant in Thai Thuy Commune on the evening of July 2, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police.
The backpack contained a Huawei laptop, VND 8 million (approximately USD 305) in cash, a passport, a driving licence and work related documents.
Police reviewed security camera footage, verified information and worked with local businesses to trace the missing property. Officers quickly identified the person who had the backpack and recovered it with all of its contents intact.
The belongings were returned to Fu Xiao Hua on July 3. He thanked officers for their prompt response and assistance.
