According to initial reports, the crash occurred at about 10.40 pm on May 14 on National Highway 1.

Authorities said a car driven by a 38-year-old Chinese woman was travelling from My Thuan towards My Tho when it suddenly veered off the road in Hamlet 5, Binh Phu Commune.
The vehicle crashed into a house and struck a 67-year-old woman who was sitting outside selling drinks.
The victim became trapped beneath the car and was dragged about 10 metres from the impact site.
She suffered severe injuries and died while being taken to hospital.
Police in Dong Thap Province are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
