A 70-year-old woman has just died while being treated for Covid-19 in Hanoi, according to the local CDC.

"The patient had existing diseases including diabetes, hypertension, and had previously experienced strokes," Hanoi CDC reports.
The woman was admitted to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases on April 3 and was diagnosed with sepsis. She then tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on May 5 while staying in the hospital.
The patient died on May 20 because of septic shock and Covid-19, Hanoi CDC concluded.
This is the 40th Covid-19-related death in Vietnam. Two other Covid-19 patients also died on May 19.
