An additional 921,400 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine arrived at Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat Airport on Thursday morning.
An additional 921,400 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine arrive in Vietnam on July 15
This was the fourth batch ordered by the Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company (VNVC), which has brought over 1.9 million doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine to Vietnam.
So far Vietnam has received nearly 6.4 million doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine from some sources including VNVC, COVAX, and donations from some countries. AstraZeneca vaccine currently makes up 71 per cent of Covid-19 vaccines received by the country.
Nitin Kapoor, President for Asia Area Frontier Markets at AstraZeneca and Chairman and General Director of AstraZeneca Vietnam said that they will continue to co-operate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, WHO, and UNICEF to bring more Covid-19 vaccines to Vietnam.
