
A 250-kilo bomb is found and removed from a construction site in Thai Binh Province on September 2.
According to local people, the bomb was found on September 2 when a family was breaking ground their house in Hai Ba Trung Street in Thai Binh City.
The workers were shocked when seeing the bomb which was lying some 1 metre under the ground.
The family immediately informed local authorities about the bomb. Thai Binh Provincial Military Department then sent a team to the site and safely removed the bomb out of the area for detonation.
According to the military department, the bomb, which is left from the American War, was 1.5 metres long, 30 centimetres in diameter and weighs 250 kilograms.
