Australia-Vietnam Young Leadership Dialogue to be held in September
In five days, the representatives will partake in conferences and discussions under the theme of "Regeneration".
Cat Thao Nguyen, co-founder of AVYLD said this year dialogue would challenge the representatives with new paradigms to think more about their role and responsibility in supporting Australia and Vietnam and the bilateral relationship to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Australia's Ambassador to Vietnam cum member of the AVYLD's advisory board Robyn Mudie sent a warm greeting to the representatives. Mudie said she had always been inspired by the young people's contribution to building a better world and hoped to see deeper bilateral relations between the two countries and the impacts that the representatives would bring to the communities.
Vietnam's Ambassador to Australia Nguyen Tat Thanh said, "Its people are a country's biggest source of power. Connections between the future leaders will continue to strengthen the two countries' friendship and long-term co-operation based on trust, commitment and co-operation."
The Australia-Vietnam Young Leadership Dialogue will be held from September 5 to 9 and sponsored by New South Wales State, Australia. It will be held online with the representatives attending from HCM City and Sydney.
Margaret Beazley, Governor of New South Wales, said they were happy to be the sponsor of the dialogue especially when the state is to strengthen its co-operation with Vietnam in trade, education, and people-to-people exchange.
Beazley said the state's strength lies in food and beverage, agriculture, water resources, education and training, and technology. New South Wales can help Vietnam overcome socio-economic and population challenges.
