The decades-old pine tree, located within the premises of the Lam Dong Province Association of the Blind on Tran Quang Dieu Street, was brought down by strong winds on September 1, falling onto the fence of a nearby home.

At the scene, the three-needle pine, about 20 metres tall and half a metre in diameter, had fallen across the fence of a local resident's home, while its crown landed on the corrugated metal roof of another house.

Branches also damaged power and telecommunications lines along Tran Quang Dieu Street. No one was injured.

Local authorities worked with relevant agencies to clear the tree and repair the damage.
