Police clear 300-km route for pregnant woman in medical emergency

Traffic police cleared the way for a pregnant woman to travel more than 300 kilometres from Lam Dong Province to a hospital in HCM City after she developed serious complications.

The Traffic Police Department on August 30 instructed officers in Lam Dong, Dong Nai and HCM City, as well as those stationed along expressways, to coordinate an emergency escort for the 28-year-old woman from Son Dien Commune in Lam Dong.

The woman, who was 35 weeks pregnant, showed signs of complications including low amniotic fluid and the umbilical cord wrapped around the foetus's neck, requiring urgent medical attention.

Traffic police along the route managed traffic and cleared the way for the car carrying her to Tu Du Hospital in HCM City.

After travelling more than 300 km from Lam Dong, the woman arrived at the hospital in time for emergency treatment.
