
The Ho Chi Minh Road is damaged in Phuoc Son District.
Vice chairman of Phuoc Son District, Nguyen Quang, said that the landslide occurred this morning, October 29 in Village 6 where six villagers have been buried.
"We're on the way to the area and will give updated information about the accident later," he said.
Torrential rains have caused serious landslides on the Ho Chi Minh Road in Phuoc Son District since October 28.
According to local authorities, it will take at least 5-7 days to clear the road before opening to traffic.
On October 28, two officials in Phuoc Loc District were also buried in a landslide and rescue forces are still searching for them.
Two other landslides also occurred in two communes in Nam Tra My District on Wednesday, burying over 50 people. By Thursday morning, 16 bodies have been found while rescue teams are rushing to find 35 missing people.
