Meanwhile, central regions from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue will be mostly cloudy with little or no rain.
During this period, areas from Danang to Binh Thuan will see chilly nights and early mornings, with light sunshine throughout the day. The Central Highlands and southern regions would have cloudy nights and early mornings with fog and light mist, followed by sunny afternoons.
From January 28 to February 1, the northern region will see clear skies with pleasant weather. Nights will be cold, while the days will be sunny.
Central localities from Nghe An to Ha Tinh will experience rain until January 28.
Experts forecast that the weather in the Central Highlands and Southeastern regions will be quite favorable during Tet, with some areas enjoying sunshine, but not overly hot.
The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reported that from now until February 20, cold air is expected to be stronger than average for this time of year, bringing intense cold spells to northern localities.
