
The Vietnamese delegation claimed four first prizes, three second prizes and two third prizes at the competition, which concluded on July 4 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The first prize winners were Le Nhat Mai Khanh, Cao Minh Minh, Le Bao Han and the duet of Le Nhat Mai Khue and Le Bao Han. All four were making their international competition debut.
Cao Minh Minh won the 10 to 13 age category with performances from Swan Lake and Don Quixote, drawing attention for completing 19 consecutive pirouettes with precision and control.
In the 14 to 17 category, Pham Ngoc Khanh Vy received second prize, while Ngo Pham Kim Khanh won third prize.
International judges praised the Vietnamese contestants for their technical ability, stage presence and potential. Jury member Rika Ishii highlighted the dancers' ambitious repertoire and strong execution.
The annual Marie Taglioni Ballet Competition honours the legacy of legendary ballerina Marie Taglioni (1804–1884) and has attracted more than 3,000 young dancers and ballet enthusiasts from around the world over the past decade.
This was Vietnam's second consecutive appearance at the competition. Last year, the delegation won one second prize and two third prizes.
