The HCM City Police Department's Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Division (PC07) said on October 29 that firefighters from Regional Firefighting and Rescue Team No. 21 had rescued the man.
At around 8.40 pm on October 28, the team received an alert from the 114 Emergency Command Centre reporting that someone was trapped in a lift at the complex.
The team immediately dispatched personnel and equipment to the scene.
Rescuers used hydraulic spreading and cutting equipment to reach the man and bring him to safety.
Authorities advised people trapped in lifts to remain calm, use the emergency alarm button or contact building management for assistance.
They also warned against forcing lift doors open or attempting to escape without guidance from rescue personnel, citing the risk of injury.
