The proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration.
According to the department, the rescheduling aims to avoid the storm season and ensure optimal conditions for event preparation.
Under the Khanh Hoa People’s Committee’s direction, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism must work directly with concerned agencies and localities to thoroughly review every task in the festival’s preparations.
The department was also tasked with preparing a report for submission to Khanh Hoa’s Standing Party Committee on the festival.
Earlier, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a plan to hold the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Day in Khanh Hoa.
The event is scheduled to take place from October 17 to 19 at 16/4 Square in Phan Rang and Dong Hai wards, featuring nearly 600 Cham artisans, performers, and athletes from six provinces and cities: Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang, and HCM City.
The event is expected to feature a wide range of cultural, sports and tourism activities, honouring and promoting the traditional cultural values of the Cham people while strengthening exchanges and connections among localities with Cham communities.
