Authorities in Hue City are accelerating site clearance for the Thuan An coastal technical infrastructure and multi-purpose cultural park project in Thuan An Ward.

Speaking on August 28, Bui Ngoc Chanh of Area 1 Construction Investment Project Management Board said land clearance work was under way to facilitate the project, which will be developed in Thuan An Ward.
The project requires the recovery of nearly 14.5 hectares of land, including protective forest, urban residential land and cemetery land.
A major challenge involves the acquisition of almost four hectares of cemetery land containing more than 1,800 graves. As a result, the relocation of graves has been divided into three phases.
Earlier, Hue City People's Committee approved the Thuan An coastal technical infrastructure and multi-purpose cultural park project with a total investment of nearly VND 118 billion (about USD 4.5 million).
The project is intended to support urban infrastructure development and expand cultural facilities towards the coastline.

Located alongside the road and overpass crossing the Thuan An sea gate, the longest sea-crossing bridge in central Vietnam, the development will feature a central coastal square and a system of multi-functional parks as its main attractions.
Under the design plan, the central square will cover more than 5,000 square metres and be paved with granite. It will be integrated with landscaped greenery, lighting systems and supporting infrastructure.
The park area, spanning more than 3,400 square metres, will include service buildings, public toilets, parking facilities, rest areas, community activity spaces, landscaped lawns, trees and lighting systems designed to support outdoor events and recreational activities.
Authorities expect the project to create a modern public space, transform the appearance of the Thuan An coastline, stimulate socio-economic development and help position Hue as a dynamic coastal city capable of attracting more visitors.
