The Hue Monuments Conservation Centre said the Autumn Festival programme will combine traditional heritage with contemporary arts through a range of large-scale events for residents and visitors.
Highlights in August include the Hue Nam Palace Festival from August 20-22, a traditional religious festival, and the Hue Wonderverse Fest 2026- International Music and Heritage Week from August 30 to September 1, featuring concerts, cultural events and a National Day performance at Hai Ba Trung Pedestrian Street on August 30.
September will feature the 37th Hue Traditional Boat Racing Festival on the Perfume River on September 2, followed by the Hue Lion Dance Festival from September 18-20, the opening of Hue's Sports Games on September 20 and a lion and dragon dance parade with a Mid-Autumn lantern procession on September 21.
Other highlights include the "Hue Tuong -Echoes of the Past" performance on September 22, the Imperial Full Moon Night on September 25 and composer Nguyen Dinh Tuan Dung's concert "Sending the Wind to the Clouds" on September 26.
Additional events, including the Truyen Lo Festival, an awards ceremony honouring outstanding students and the Colours We Love children's art festival, will also take place throughout September.
The two-month programme is expected to reinforce Hue's reputation as one of the country's leading destinations for culture and festivals.
