A three year-old boy in Quang Binh Province is in desperate need of financial support after suffering from a crash that killed both of his parents.

At 4pm on February 21, Nguyen Hoang Hai and his parents were returning home when they were hit by a bus from behind at the junction of Le Duan and Highway 1A. Hai's parents were killed on the spot.
Hai was brought to Vietnam-Cuba Dong Hoi Hospital. Due to the severe injuries, he was transferred to Hue Central Hospital. Hai has a broken right shin and a broken left heel. His left collar bone also broke after the crash.
His health is now improving and can be discharged.

Tran Thi Thuyen, Hai's grandmother, said they were farmers and had borrowed tens of millions of VND to held funerals and pay hospital charges for Hai. The family is struggling to pay the debts.
"Who would have thought that it was the last day they visit Hai's maternal grandparents. Hai is their first child. His mother was planning to give him a sibling then suddenly they're gone," Thuyen said.
