Dao and his wife receive donations to build their new house.

Dao, 41, faces difficulties supporting his three small children as he has kidney and lung problems, and his 33-year-old wife, Dang Thi Thu, only earns a small income.

The family used to live in a small house that had severely deteriorated, and they could not afford to build a new one.

After Dao shared his situation with Dantri, many readers sent money to support his family. He has decided to build a new house with the donations.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony of his new house, Dao sincerely thanked Dantri and the kind donors for their valuable support of his family.

"With nearly VND80 million donated by Dantri readers and some local firms, we've decided to build a house as our old house could collapse any time," the man said. "It's estimated that the new 65-square-metre house construction would cost around VND140 million. I hope to receive VND60 million from the local government soon."

Speaking at the ceremony, Tran Van Thom, the vice chairman of Hoai An District People's Committee, expressed his gratitude to Dantri and all the donors for helping Dao's family build a new house.

"We're providing VND60 million to support local households facing poverty in building their new house, but Dao was unable to find more funds for his house construction until he received more donations from Dantri," Thom said. "We'll mobilise more support to complete the house construction in a month. Thank you for your meaningful support to his family."
