Ho Chi Minh City's District 5 authorities have announced plans to hold the Cho Lon Food Story in December to promote local culinary culture.
The event will occur at District 5's Sports and Culture Centre on December 6-8.
The Cho Lon Food Story 2023 attracted 25,000 visitors
With around 50 booths, visitors can savour many signature dishes, such as noodles, hu tieu (Vietnamese rice noodle soup), sui cao (steamed dumplings), various cakes, and more.
Dao Thi Anh Tuyet, deputy head of the Economic Department of District 5 People's Committee, said this is an occasion for restaurants and eateries to promote their brands to residents and tourists, contributing to tourism development and economic growth.
The Cho Lon area of District 5, home to the ethnic Chinese Vietnamese community, is renowned as a paradise for food lovers. The food fair is expected to help establish the culinary brand Delicious Eats in District 5.
The Cho Lon Food Story was held in District 5 for the first time last year, luring 25,000 visitors.
