Kien Xuong Town People's Committee said a series of photos featuring a group of people striking yoga poses and taking pictures on a public road appeared on Facebook on May 17.

After an investigation, local police confirmed that the group, consisting of 17 people, gathered at the intersection of Tran Hung Dao and Nguyen Cong Thu streets to perform yoga poses and take photos.

They were summoned to the police station on May 18 where 14 were fined VND150,000 each for obstructing traffic. Three other participants were let off without charge as they were underage.

On May 20, police in the Central Highlands tourist city of Dalat summoned a group of five women who had parked their car on a local road to dance and take photos.

According to Dalat Police, the women were recorded by a car camera on May 17, whose owner then posted the footage online, complaining about their behaviour.

At the police station, one of the women said that while travelling to the Tuyen Lam Lake, they found beautiful scenery on the roadside and decided to stop to take photos and perform some dances with a speaker.

They only stopped when some drivers yelled at them for blocking the road.

Dalat Police are considering a fine against the group.
