The northern region of Vietnam is forecasted to see warmer and dry weather during the New Year.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the whole northern region will continue facing the cold and rainy weather until December 30. Some north western localities will see heavy rains.

From December 31, the weather in the northern region will be warmer with temperatures ranging 19-21 degrees centigrade during the day, while the temperature in the evening and at night at 14-16 degrees centigrade. These temperatures will continue into the first days of the new year.
In the next three days, Hanoi’s temperature will be 16-19 degrees centigrade during the day, while Sapa Town in Lao Cai Province will see 11-14 degrees centigrade during the day and 7-10 degrees centigrade at night.
In the central region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces will see rains until December 30 and then have dry and cold weather in three days later.
Meanwhile, provinces from Quang Tri to Phu Yen will face rains of different levels during the next week.
Hue will see the temperature of 21-23 degrees centigrade in the next two days and the temperature will increase to 25 degrees centigrade some days later. Da Nang city’s temperature has been forecasted at 24-26 degrees centigrade during the New Year occasion.
Khanh Hoa and Binh Thuan provinces will have cool weather without rains until December 30 and after that will have light rains in some days.
The Central Highlands and the southern region will have nice weather in the next five days with some rains in the forecast.
