A Vietnamese man who entered South Korea illegally was arrested yesterday, the South Korean police have announced.

Nguyen Van Tan, 25, sneaked through an automatic immigration gate at Incheon International Airport to enter South Korea on January 29.

He was in transit at the airport, after taking a Korean Air flight from Ha Noi to Japan's capital of Tokyo.
South Korea issued a wanted notice nationwide and Tan was arrested in Daegu City, 300km southeast of Seoul.
A similar case was reported on January 21, when a Chinese couple entered South Korea illegally through an automatic immigration gate. They were arrested five days later.
