The incident occurred while the two were completing procedures for Vietnam Airlines flight VN680 from Kuala Lumpur to Hanoi last Thursday.

When asked by airport staff about the luggage, one of the women said that there were bombs in it. She repeated the comment.
Security checks showed that no bombs were contained in the luggage.
Malaysian police took the decision to expel rather than charge the women.
