Local authorities on Monday inspected the progress of four resettlement areas being developed to relocate residents affected by the airport project.

The VND 12 trillion (USD 459 million) project covers about 335 hectares and includes four resettlement areas in Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Dong Cuu 1 and Dong Cuu 2. In addition to housing infrastructure, it will provide schools, cultural facilities and religious sites.
Construction of roads, drainage, electricity and water systems is under way across the four sites, with some residential plots already ready for handover.
According to the developer's schedule, Dong Cuu 1 is expected to be handed over in mid-August, followed by Luong Tai and Gia Binh later that month.
Provincial authorities have instructed contractors to speed up construction while ensuring essential infrastructure is completed before residents move in.
