Even though the radiation cloud from Japan has reached other countries, Vietnam has escaped the danger so far.

On the afternoon of March 28, the Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology under the Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission said it detected a very small amount of radioactive particles I-131 in the atmosphere in Vietnam. However, these particles would not have any impact on human health.
Before that, the Ministry of Science and Technology said that two radiation surveillance stations in Hanoi and another in Da Lat have not yet found any radiation-related phenomena in the country, as of March 27.
In the meantime, radiation clouds have already reached the Philippines.
The cloud of harmful radiation from Japan’s Fukushima I nuclear plant has tended to blow towards Indonesia and Malaysia.
Radiation from the disasters in Japan have been detected in the northern hemisphere, the ministry noted.
Winds have also been moving the radiation cloud across the Pacific, towards North America. It has already crossed the Atlantic and reached Europe.
Surveillance stations in the U.S, Canada, Russia, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland have found radioactive particles.
