The case is a 44-year-old man from Lai Cach Town in the northern province of Hai Duong’s Cam Giang District.
Vietnam is facing a new Covid-19 outbreak
On January 31, he suffered from fever, cough and sore throat and went to Hai Duong General Hospital for medical checks-up. At the hospital, he was provided with a Covid-19 test which then showed that he was positive for the virus.
At present, he is being quarantined and treated at the hospital.
By 6 am this morning, Vietnam had a total number of 964 locally-infected Covid-19 cases, including 271 since January 27.
Currently, 27,714 people are being put under quarantine, including 227 at hospitals, 20,917 at quarantine sites and 6,570 at home.
