The fatalities were all elderly women in HCM City, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Ha Tinh.

A Covid-19 patient at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 


The case in Nghe An’s Vinh City is a 71-year-old patient who faced diabetes, hypertension, and arthritis. She tested positive for Covid-19 on June 23 and died on Monday.

The 62-year-old patient in HCM City suffered from diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney failure. She was treated at the HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases from June 30 and died at the hospital on July 3.

The third case was a 97-year-old woman in Ha Tinh City. She struggled with high blood pressure for many years but did not get proper treatment.
