USD 23K per month from Viettel

Foreign mobile phone designing experts could get paid as much as $23,000 per month from Viettel.

Vietnam Posts & Telecommunications Group (VNPT) in collaboration with the Military Telecom Corporation (Viettel) is speeding up production of made in Vietnam mobile phones, according to Le Doan Hop, Minister of Information & Communications. They expect to unveil their products in the market within the year.

The mobile phone manufacturing plant will be located in Hoa Lac High Tech Zone in Hanoi.

This project is part of the proposal on “Accelerating the process of making Vietnam become a strong IT country” which will be submitted to the Prime Minister.

The proposal focuses on 6 main issues: IT labour force training, IT industry production, broadband infrastructure development, delivering audiovisual equipment to households and building a strong economic corporation.
