The incident happened in Tuong Duong District’s Xa Luong Commune.
The area where the two boys has gone missing
Lo Thi Tra My, chairman of Xa Luong Commune, said that on Friday afternoon, the two Grade 3 boys who attend Xa Luong Primary School went together to swim in the Nam Mo River.
When the two didn’t return home in the evening, their families informed local authorities. A rescue team of around 100 people was immediately sent along the banks of the Nam Mo River.
At around 5 pm on Friday, November 1, residents of Lo Village only found the clothing of two students along the shore, suspecting the children may have drowned.
The search has continued.
