Two tourist boats were severely damaged in a fire on Nha Trang Bay yesterday night.
The fire broke out at around 8.30pm at the boat HD02 which was being anchored at Cau Da Wharf in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province.
The boat HD02 was completely destroyed by the fire.
Local people and firefighters tried to stamp out the blaze but it quickly spread to another boat anchored nearby.
According to head of the provincial Department of Fire Police, Nguyen Xuan Canh, the fire was brought under control at around 9pm. The HD02 was completely destroyed while the other boat was partly damaged. No people were harmed in the blaze.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
