Three family members have been killed when their motorbike was hit by a truck in the central province of Nghe An on Friday evening.

According to head of the Police Department at Nghi Xa Commune in Nghi Loc District, Hoang Duy Duong, the accident happened at 6pm when Le Doan Binh, 57, were driving a motorbike with his wife Vo Thi Lan, 57, and Lan's sister Vo Thi Thang, 46, behind when a truck hit them from the opposite direction.
"Three people on the motorbike were killed at the site," Duong said. "The motorbike was destroyed when the truck's head also heavily damaged."
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
