The people are from An Lac Ward, Binh Tan District.
A representative from Binh Tan District said the pandemic has remained complicated in the locality so it was necessary to conduct the testing at night.
Three Covid-19 testing points were set up in the ward to serve roughly 15,000 people in Residential Area 2. One of the points was a football ground on Le Tan Be Street.
According to a report from Binh Tan District People’s Committee, since May 28, the district has recorded 120 Covid-19 cases. Nine out of 10 local wards have Covid-19 infections.
At around 11:30 pm, hundreds of people were still waiting for their turn, including many children.
A medical worker became tired after hours of taking testing samples.
Today, June 18, around 50,000 people at Pouyuen Vietnam Company and Tan Tao Industrial Park will be provided with Covid-19 testing.
