Taxi driver tried to ran away with officer on the car hood
The police in Soc Son District announced on February 8 that they had arrested Phan Huy Doan, born in 1985 and a driver for Mai Linh Taxi yesterday for obstructing an officer on duty.
According to the police, at 9.15 am on February 7, two police officers Nguyen Duc Tuan and Nguyen Van Thuong discovered that a Mai Linh taxi car was parking at a banned location. When being asked for papers, Doan hit the accelerator to try to run away but he was stopped after 300 metres.

He continued refusing to co-operate and hit a police officer Nguyen Duc Tuan while kept trying to run away. Tuan had to cling onto the car hood while the car ran at high speed. At some point, it hit 100 km/h while heading to Pho Yen Commune, Thai Nguyen Province.
After 20km, Doan slowed down the car and let the officer jump down. He continued driving to Thai Nguyen Province. He was arrested at 12.09 pm near Samsung industrial zone and admitted his guilt.
