The whale was detected on Wednesday afternoon at the beach of Phu Hai Village, Ky Anh District. It was around two metres long and weighed 150 kilos with many injuries on the body.

The whale rescued in Ha Tinh Province
The locals set up a canvas to cover the whale and then gave it water. Some hours after that, the whale recovered and was then released back to the sea.
In June, fishermen in Ha Tinh’s Nghia Xuan District also discovered a dead whale weighing around one tonne at a local beach.
Whale worshipping is a common custom among Vietnamese fishermen who believe that the whale's spirits will protect them on the sea. Fishermen try to save stranded whales and bury and worship those found dead at whale temples.
