Six people in a family have been found dead in a house fire in Ho Chi Minh City early Tuesday morning.

According to reports from local authorities, local residents saw the fire break out at a house on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street in Thu Duc City at around 1.30am. Many rushed to the house and tried to put out the fire while calling the police.
After the fire was controlled, police found six people including two children dead inside the house.

The house owner, Luc Chan Tam, 54, managed to escape the fire and suffered from burns. Meanwhile, his wife, 52, three children aged between 24-27 and two grandchildren aged one and seven all died.
Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
