Shinnyo-en Foundation gives USD18,000 to Vietnamese students
Shinnyo-en Foundation had arrived in Hanoi to work with Dantri Newspaper and Vietnam Fund for Learning Promotion over the charity work in 2019. Pham Huy Hoan, the editor-in-chief of Dantri Newspaper, said Shinnyo-en had donated USD18,000 this year to help students in remote and rural areas as well as upgrading and building new classrooms.

The Vietnam Fund for Learning Promotion has transferred the money to disadvantaged students in Nam Dinh and Phu Tho provinces and used part of the money to repair the classroom at Vo Mieu 2 Primary School in Phu Tho and upgrade the playground of Tri Le 2 Primary School in Nghe An.

Shinnyo-en representative Shoji Harashima said they would consider continuing working with Dantri Newspaper to donate USD18,000 in scholarships to the students in 2020 in other provinces of Vietnam including Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Vietnam Maritime University and University of Finance - Business Management.

On the same day, the representatives of Shinnyo-en Foundation, Vietnam Fund for Learning Promotion and its branch in Nam Dinh gave 60 gifts worth VND60m (USD2,600) to poor students with high academic achievements.
