Authorities have decided to publicise a list service fees for beaches on Son Tra to protect tourists from being overcharged.

These prices have been set after a survey carried out by the Danang Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism (DCST), in conjunction with district authorities and service providers.
The list will standardise the fees for services such as food, chairs, games and rented floats. In order to raise prices, retailers would have to make a proposal to the management board, then submitted to DCST. Input from service providers would be collected before standard prices are adjusted.
Because Danang is quickly approaching the high point of the tourist season, procedures are being fast-tracked. Danang plans to have a number of events, which they hope will attract tourists, underlining the need to maintain consumer confidence.
