The provincial administration said on August 12 that the Nui Chua-Phuoc Binh National Park Management Board and the Hon Ba Nature Reserve Management Board had been authorised to receive transferred wildlife specimens.
The decision covers species listed in Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), as well as endangered, precious and rare species covered by forestry regulations.
The Nui Chua-Phuoc Binh National Park Management Board may receive healthy live wild animals for release into the wild, as well as live plants.
Only species whose natural distribution is compatible with the ecosystems of Nui Chua or Phuoc Binh national parks will be accepted.

The provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment has been tasked with coordinating implementation and monitoring compliance.
It will also advise the provincial administration on changes to the list if the conservation units' capacity to receive specimens changes or new regulations are introduced.
The two management boards are responsible for receiving, managing, preserving or caring for transferred specimens in accordance with regulations.
The designation was made under a government decree issued in April 2025 and is intended to provide a consistent framework for handling rare and endangered wildlife specimens in line with conservation conditions in each area.
