The first ticket sale for the 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR <XX: COSMOS> IN HANOI opened on the morning of August 13 for fans holding BIGBANG membership. Large numbers of fans accessed the ticketing system as soon as sales began.
Several categories quickly sold out within minutes, with premium tickets and seats offering better views attracting particularly strong demand.
Lan Tran, a BIGBANG fan, said the ticket-buying process had been smoother than she had expected.
"This year, the ticketing platform was quite fast and there were few interruptions. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I got the ticket I wanted. Payment was also quick and there were no errors like when I bought tickets for G-Dragon's concert late last year," she said.
This year's ticket sale also introduced a new measure requiring membership holders to log in with their membership number before receiving a queue position. The system was designed to reduce the number of fake or ineligible accounts joining the queue.
Even so, some fans were assigned queue numbers between 50,000 and 60,000, highlighting the scale of demand.
The rush for tickets also quickly fuelled a resale market. Shortly after the official prices were announced, people began advertising ticket-buying services or offering tickets they had secured for resale.
The concert has 10 ticket categories, ranging from VND 1 million (USD 37) to VND 10.5 million (USD 392). The Ultimate VIP Package is the most expensive at VND 10.5 million (USD 392), followed by Diamond VIP at VND 9.8 million (USD 366).
On the resale market, a Diamond VIP ticket with a face value of VND 9.8 million (USD 366) was previously advertised for VND 45 million (USD 1,680), or VND 35.2 million (USD 1,314) above its listed price.
Other categories were also offered at mark-ups ranging from several million dong to tens of millions of dong, depending on the seat location and benefits included.
Some people also offered ticket-buying services from the opening of sales, charging about VND 2 million to VND 3.5 million (USD 75-131) per ticket depending on the category and location. Customers paid the fee for someone else to secure tickets when sales opened, particularly if they were worried about being unable to buy them themselves.
The August 13 sale was the first release for BIGBANG membership holders. Tickets will then go on sale to VPBank cardholders on August 14, followed by the general public on August 15.
The rapid sell-out of several categories in the first release is likely to intensify the ticket rush during the next two sales, particularly among fans who have yet to secure tickets or were not eligible for the membership presale.
G-Dragon's Hanoi concert in 2025 also saw tickets sell out quickly after sales opened. Heavy traffic left many fans unable to secure their preferred categories, while VVIP and VIP tickets were subsequently resold at several times their original prices.
The strong response to BIGBANG's first ticket release suggests that demand among Vietnamese fans remains high ahead of the Hanoi concert.
