Some people have expressed concern that pouring concrete and erecting steel columns in the area could undermine the scenic site's natural, unspoilt character.

Others have welcomed the introduction of a new tourism attraction, arguing that it would offer visitors additional experiences and help boost local tourism.

According to the Gia Lai Economic Zone Management Board, the project is being developed by FLC Star Real Estate Joint Stock Company within the Eo Gio Ecotourism Area, which is part of the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.

The zipline facility comprises an outdoor cable system, two concrete platforms measuring 30 and 40 square metres respectively, and a steel frame structure. The 250-300-metre-long route is designed to follow the natural terrain, running from higher to lower ground.

The management board said the attraction was intended to diversify tourism offerings, enhance visitor experiences and make the destination more appealing.

However, it stressed that economic development should not come at the expense of the environment or natural landscapes.

Meanwhile, leaders of the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said they had instructed relevant agencies to inspect the project.

The department maintained that tourism development must go hand in hand with nature conservation, adding that environmental protection and the preservation of scenic landscapes should not be sacrificed for economic growth.

All investment activities must strike a balance between tourism exploitation and safeguarding the site's inherent natural and cultural values.
