Starlink's coverage map has turned Vietnam blue, indicating the country is now marked as "Available". The company has also opened a dedicated ordering page for customers in Vietnam.
Starlink's official account on X said its high-speed, low-latency internet service was now available in Vietnam, with customers able to place orders through the company's local website.
The service is operated in Vietnam by Starlink Services Vietnam Co Ltd, which is the only legal entity authorised to provide Starlink satellite internet services in the country.
The service is available to households and businesses, with a 30-day trial period and no requirement for a long-term contract.
Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology granted Starlink licences to provide satellite telecommunications services in February. The initial deployment includes four gateway stations and a maximum of 600,000 user terminals.
The launch gives Vietnam another broadband internet option, particularly for islands and remote areas where conventional fibre-optic infrastructure is difficult to build.
Using a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit, Starlink is designed to provide lower-latency connections than traditional satellite internet systems. The service can also provide a backup connection for organisations and businesses.
In the aviation sector, Vietjet Aviation JSC signed an agreement with Starlink Services Vietnam on May 20 to provide internet connectivity on its aircraft.
