Dtinews transferred over VND136m (USD6,200) donated by readers to siblings in Bac Giang Province who are struggling to live with their old grandmother after losing both parents.
Nguyen Thi Vuon, the children's grandmother, said, "Many people have come to visit and gave us instant noodles, fish sauce, cooking oil and books for the children. They also gave us money too. I've deposited the money for the children's education."

Vuon receives donation from readers
A reader said he would provide VND2m each month for the next two years to help the children. The brother Do Viet Hoang who is in 7th grade and his four-year-old sister, Do Anh Thu, said they were really happy and would study hard.
Another VND136,450,000 of donation has also been transferred to Vuon and her grandchildren. Vuon was surprised at the huge amount and expressed gratitude to donators.
Nguyen Van Vuong, party secretary of Cau Can Village, said, "When Vuon's family get help, everyone in the village is happy for them. Finally, she has financial capability to raise the kids."
When the youngest daughter was four months old, her mother had a headache and was diagnosed with pancreatitis but she died four days later. After that, the sibling's paternal grandparents also died one after another. Their father then died from liver cancer. In four years, they have lost most of their family.
Vuon and her grandchildren
Hoang's grandmother, Nguyen Thi Vuon, was forced to lock one of the rooms in her house so the children can't enter because the house is deteriorating and it looks like it could collapse at any time.
