Nguyen Thi Linh receives the donation
The couple Tran Duy Hai and Nguyen Thi Linh are now being provided with the treatment at K Hospital in Hanoi. Hai is living with oesophagus cancer while Linh is facing breast cancer. Linh was told to take radiotherapy; however, the family couldn’t afford the treatment. She had to return home.A short time after that, her husband began losing weight and was said to have fallen victim to oesophagus cancer in the critical stage. Doctors said that Hai’s disease had worsened, so they were afraid that he would be too week for the radiotherapy.
Every day, they live on charitable meals offered by the hospital.
The couple have a son who has left home following bankruptcy which was the result of the on-going African swine fever.

The couple said many people had visited and given them money directly or called to give encouragement and sent money to help them overcome their difficulties.
"No one wants illnesses. My family doesn't have a penny left. We don't know what to say but thank you to everyone that helped us," Linh said. "We can now continue the treatment for my husband and I. Thanks to you we have the chance to live on."
