The couple, Dinh Van Kim and Nguyen Thi Len in Lien Phuong Village in Thach Binh Commune, Nho Quan District have three sons who are all struggling with cerebral palsy.

The children Dinh The Phuong,18; Dinh Van Nam, 15, and Dinh Quang Minh, 6, are all completely bed-ridden and all of their daily activities depend on their parents.
Len said that initially, Phuong’s legs became swollen, but doctors failed to diagnose his disease, even following surgery. After that, his legs gradually shrunk.
The second son Dinh Van Nam saw the same symptoms as Phuong when he was seven years old.
The family were so poor that the parents could not afford to take their children to Hanoi for medical check-ups and treatment.
In 2013, the couple decided to give birth to a third child. However, once again, they were disappointed as the son also faced the same disease with their brothers.
Over the past 10 years, Len has been staying at home to take care of the children. While her husband works on construction sites with a modest income of just VND180,000 (USD7.82) per day.
The family lives in a dilapidated house with nothing valuable.
The couple hopes that they could bring their children to Hanoi for medical examinations.
