The second plenum of the 13th-tenure Party Central Committee (PCC) opened in Ha Noi on Monday morning.

In his opening remarks, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong said the Political Bureau has directed the finalization and publication of documents of the 13th National Party Congress.
The working agendas of the Politburo and the Secretariat have also been approved, the top Vietnamese leader said.
The 13th National Party Congress took place from January 25-February 1 with the attendance of 1,587 delegates representing more than 5.1 million Party members nationwide.
The Congress elected 200 members, including 180 official members, to the 13th-tenure PCC.
The 13th PCC convened its first plenum on January 31 to elect members of the Political Bureau, Party General Secretary, members of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, members of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission and Head of the Commission./.
