Doctors take care of a Covid-19 patient in Danang Hospital.
The information was announced by deputy director of Quang Nam Provincial Department of Health, Mai Van Muoi.
According to the official, the 11 patients who were treated at two hospitals in the province have fully recovered without fever or coughs and tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 at least three consecutive times. They will be monitored for 14 more days at home in line with health ministry regulations.
Muoi also added that there are now 95 Covid-19 patients being treated at local hospitals after 13 were discharged.
"All the patients including a 100-year-old woman are recovering," he said. "Seven have tested negative for the virus once.
With these recoveries, a total of 478 people positive for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 have been given the all-clear nation-wide.
In Danang City, a 51-year-old woman died the same morning due to several diseases including Covid-19.
The woman who resides in Hai Chau District was struggling with ovarian cancer, nephrolithiasis, urinary tract infections, and had her left kidney removed already before contracting Covid-19.
The Danang Lung Hospital announced the causes of her death including pneumonia caused by Covid-19 complications, septic shock, and multi-organ failure due to ovarian cancer.
As of Tuesday morning, Vietnam has recorded 983 COVID-19 infections and 25 fatalities related to this disease.
