The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. today, January 3. While the oil tanker was docking on the Boi River in Xich Tho Commune, Nho Quan District, it suddenly caught fire, accompanied by an explosion. Flames soared over 5 metres high, and thick black smoke rose tens of metres into the air.

At that time, a group of people on board was cleaning the oil storage compartment.
When the fire broke out, many people managed to escape, but three individuals sustained burns and were promptly taken to a medical facility for emergency treatment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
