Many northern localities experienced torrential rain on Tuesday, with several areas in Hanoi such as Dong Anh and Bac Tu Liem districts having a high rainfall of 237-249 mm per hour.

This evening, Wednesday, the north and the northern central province of Thanh Hoa continued witnessing rain and strong wind with the highest rainfall of more than 80 mm.

The rainy weather in the northern region would last until July 9 with hail, thunder, violent winds, and flooding.

Meanwhile, the central region has been forecasted to face temperature highs of 39 degrees centigrade. Temperatures in excess of 35 degrees centigrade are set to be experienced for 11-17 hours during the day.

The UV index in the central region would be very high.

On July 8-14, locations from Danang to Binh Thuan would have rain and strong winds.

The Central Highlands region would have downpours and strong winds until July 8.
